- Officer Redd became an officer of the Memphis Police Department in February 2008. He served the citizens of Memphis, working at Old Allen, Union, Raines, Mt Moriah, Ridgeway, and Appling Farms Stations. He also served his country as a United States Marine. Ofc. Redd is survived by his wife and three daughters.

- On February 2, 2023, Ofc. Geoffrey Redd was shot in the line of duty while responding to a call. On February 18, 2023, Ofc. Redd succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
